Beach training offers challenges, both in and out of the water. The fine sand, water resistance, and of course the waves!

Beach training is a tradition with Sensei Ryan, who has been hosting for years. Practicing in the sand offers uneven and constantly changing terrain, enhances inner tension and muscle control, and engages the foot in a dynamic way. Water training challenges balance, offers resistance, and also helps keep you cool while working hard. The waves this year were an added bonus, making training even more difficult yet fun. These events not only provide a wonderful training opportunity, but also offer a social aspect, which helps our karate families grow stronger.
